Nancy Koucky will share essential guidelines for authors and self-publishers aiming to create professional, industry-standard and reader-friendly books with a professional edge.

Topics that will be covered are cover design elements, recommended fonts and sizes for optimal readability, basic font pairing strategies, and the nuances oAf paragraph formatting, including indentation and justification.

Attendees will learn about the importance of proper margins, running heads, and footers, as well as the standard structure of front matter, body matter, and end matter.

This session is designed as a guide for book layout and cover design. Whether for print or e-book conversion, understanding these fundamental principles is key to a successful publication.

  • It’s at the foot of the Mid Point Bridge.
  • Stay far right on Colonial Blvd; Don’t cross the bridge into Cape Coral.
  • Turn into the church’s first driveway off Colonial (before you get to the McGregor traffic light),
  • Then turn right again into the parking lot. Parking on the grass is allowed.

Meeting Place: Browning Hall is in a standalone building east of the actual church.
Enter through the recessed door that faces the handicapped parking signs. Follow the hallway to the center of the building.

Browning Hall, a large auditorium, will be on your right.
