All entries must be submitted electronically through our website. When you’re ready to enter, simply fill out the online form and pay your entry fee through our secure payment system.

Write Your Best Work
Let your creativity shine in a piece of 1,500 words or fewer. Please double-space your work and use a clean, easy-to-read 12-point font, such as Times New Roman, Calibri, or Arial.
Poetry entries are limited to a maximum of 40 lines.

Blind Judging for Fairness
To ensure every submission is evaluated purely on merit, all judging is conducted anonymously. Your personal information (name, email, and address) will be kept confidential and hidden from our panel of judges.

Prizes & Recognition
Winners in each of the three categories—Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry—will be announced by August 15th. Prizes will be awarded during our September 2025 awards celebration as follows:

• 1st Place: $200
• 2nd Place: $75
• 3rd Place: $50

Judging by Experts
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of respected GCWA members and literary professionals who bring a wide range of writing experience and insight.

Entry Fees
We offer discounted rates for GCWA members and students:

• Members/Students: First entry $10, additional entries $5
• Non-Members: First entry $20, additional entries $10

How To Submit Your Work

Complete the Online Entry Form
Accurately fill out all required fields on the submission form. Double-check your contact details to ensure we can reach you if needed.

Pay the Entry Fee
Follow the payment instructions to securely submit your entry fee. Have your preferred payment method ready when you sit down to fill in the form.

Important Note:
Do not include your name or contact information on the actual manuscript—this helps maintain anonymous judging.

Receive Confirmation
After submitting your form and payment, you’ll receive a confirmation on-screen or via email. Keep this for your records as proof of entry.

Submitting More Than One Entry?
We welcome multiple submissions! Complete a separate form and payment for each additional entry. Reduced fees will apply for second and subsequent submissions.
