Joe Diorio
**Genre:** Writing and grammar
Joe Diorio has been a writer all of his life. He wrote and illustrated his own comic books as a kid, worked as a stringer for a local weekly newspaper while in high school, wrote a column for his college paper, covered the police beat for a local daily paper, and worked as a speechwriter, public relations professional, and freelance writer. “My only real skill is that I can write a simple declarative sentence,” he says. “And since I use a dictiona I usually spell everything correctly.”
“William Safire meets David Sedaris” is how one person described this book. Penned by a guy who admits he’s bad at grammar, this book is fun and useful for anyone who writes by putting pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, or thumbs to a smart phone.
