Born in Savannah, Georgia, and moved to Fort Myers in 1958. Became one of the first twelve families to move to Cape Coral in April 1959. Graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1970. Was assistant manager of Big John Grocery Store before making a career in the Cape Coral Fire Department. Retired from the fire department in 1997 and worked in public relations for Cape Coral National Bank until 2003. In August, I published “Nifty Twins Meet The Easter Bunny” to explain the value of savings.
Twin boys were born with the same opportunities, yet they are different in so many ways. When visiting the Easter Bunny, they were given magical jelly beans. They enjoyed the magic of the beans in their own way. Thrifty beans grew, so he was happy for life. Knotso, on the other hand, ate a couple more than thrifty and ran out; he was ‘not so’ happy. The book plants the seed in young minds on the value of savings.
